ABOUT
About Marquéz
Marquéz Cassidy is a small town guy whose music encompasses that of a much bigger world. Born in ‘93, a millennial, others would say an old soul at best. Reared in church, he learned to sing and play watching family members; and there, the seed began to sprout. His childhood was comprised of showcases, competitions, talents shows and church meetings; all the while serving his family church singing and playing the organ. One would say those days were rearing and training for him; just a peek at where his music, writing, arranging and singing ability would take him.
Today his melting pot of sound spreads the length of gospel to funk, pop rock to jazz, folk to R&B soul. He credits his family, education (Berklee College of Music), influences, life experiences and many mentors as themes he shares through his all encompassing music. God. Life. Love.
